Beta Chi Theta hosted a faculty event in February with Professor Solomon from the classics department talk about the true meaning of carpe diem. It was an enlightening experience about Epicurean philosophy and the differences in what term carpe diem meant to the ancient Romans and what it is taken to mean today. Professor Jordan from the Engineering Management department also spoke with us in March about general ways to advance our careers, master an interview, survive in the business world, and become effective leaders. Both events were eye opening and served to help the brothers build meaningful lasting relationships with faculty outside the classroom.
